Today was co-op day with our homeschool group. Today we did the Prairie Primer, where we’re studying the Little House on the Prairie books. We’re into the book By the Shores of Silver Lake, and today the topic was eyes and blindness (since this is the book where Mary is first blind). What better way to learn about the eyes than by dissecting cow eyes. For the most part, the older kids don’t participate in this class. They hang out until the High School Spanish class starts later in the day, but most of them (the boys, anyway) wanted to participate in this activity. Here’s some of the highlights of "Cow eye day":
