Project 365, Days 171-180

Day 171: Today was too nice of a day to stay inside, so we had class outside. I’m not sure how much actual learning took place, but we had a great time enjoying the warm sun.

Day 172: Little plants are also enjoying our nice weather. Soon, it will be time to transplant them into the garden.

Day 173: Some days at work just scream for something to drink when I get home. Today was one of those days.

Day 174: More signs of spring

Day 175: Time for new nails again. Something bright and cheerful this time

Day 176: Janelle went to prom with some of her friends. It’s hard to believe she’s a senior already. She’s grown up into a very beautiful young lady.

Day 177: Went for a walk with my husband today down a trail near our house. I am totally enjoying spring now that it is finally here.

Day 178: Two days after prom (and post-prom activities), Janelle is still a bit tired. She’s having a hard time staying awake in class.

Day 179: There is a virus going through the fish in the lake. If you look closely in this photo, you can see white things floating in the water. Those are dead fish, killed by the virus. Hopefully this will be over soon. Dead fish by the hundred do not smell good.

Day 180: Another sign of spring around here–lake flies. They are everywhere and if we’re not quick, get in the house every time we go in or out. Thankfully they only last a few days.

Project 365, Days 151-160

Day 151: One more from dress rehearsal. This was a very emotional dance. Makes me cry every time. It was a modern dance to the spoken word “To This Day”

Day 152: Here we go again. More snow, but not as much this time.

Day 153: After a play date with our neighbor dog, Bernie, Nala is all tired out

Day 154: After dance recital #1 of the weekend. Proud parents of a talented dancer. She’s still wearing her costume for the modern dance done to “Push It”

Day 155: Yes, even more dance photos. Dance kind of dominated the week this week. Her final performance with Wempner’s School of Dance. This one is ballet to “Once Upon a December”

Day 156: How can you tell if there’s a dancer in the house? Lots of flowers after recital weekend

Day 157: Best friend Jessy is helping to get the kinks and knots out of her tired body

Day 158: Blizzard is showing off his hair cut, which was long overdue

Day 159: New nails (again)

Day 160: I finally got Nala to sit still long enough to get a picture of her new haircut.

End of a season

Janelle’s final dance recital is over. It’s time for my baby girl to move on to bigger and better things. She’s grown up and is heading into a new season in her life. These are just a few of the hundreds of pictures and videos I took this week. Yes, I am a proud dance mom.

Project 365, Days 121-130

Day 121: It was a day beautiful enough to make me think that maybe spring is almost here. But, since this is Wisconsin, I won’t hold my breath.

Day 122: Not sure if it’s dance class or writing class. Janelle must think it’s dance class

Day 123: Nala is now 6 months old

Day 124: His girl isn’t home right now, so Blizzard will just wait outside her bedroom door until she returns.

Day 125: After a trip to the podiatrist and a 9 hour shift, my foot hurt too bad to walk anymore. So, I used an electric cart while shopping.

Day 126: Nala really needs a haircut

Day 127: The dogs think they are entitled to some of my food. Silly dogs

Day 128: Standing guard. Against what I am not entirely sure, but it’s something scary and it’s outside the window.

Day 129: This week it’s both Janelle and Jessy dancing during class

Day 130: She finally got her haircut and is looking fluffy and adorable again

Project 365, Days 26-30

Day 26: Nala is the keeper of the shoes. Her favorite thing to do is to carry shoes around the house.

Day 27:  The lighthouse is all lit up for the Christmas season.

Day 28:  This isn’t really a photo, it’s a screenshot. This is the text my daughter sent me today while I was at work. All of us at work thought it was hilarious. Thankfully, Nala never got sick from her dead fish. Several days later, she brought a dead bird into the house.

Day 29: The Hermeneutical Club from Laconia High School stopped by Walmart today with treats for those of us in customer service. It was their way to encourage and thank those who get to deal with the extra busyness of the season.

Day 30:  Sunday in church we had our annual Christmas Cantata. Janelle participated with the dance team.

Project 365, Days 21-25

Day 21:  The first snow of the year met me when I got off work tonight. Even though it looks like a lot of snow, it didn’t really amount to a whole lot.

IMG_0612.jpg

Day 22: The Christmas tree went up today. I think it’s our best tree ever.

IMG_0620.jpg

Day 23: More decorating, this time the mantel

IMG_0619.jpg

Day 24: Fun in co-op class. These two have been friends for years.

IMG_0600.jpg

Day 25: Nala is too small to get up on our bed, so I made her a little step so she can sleep on the bed with me.

Project 365, Days 16-20

Day 16: My talented daughter made herself a nightstand out of crates. I think it turned out very well. Maybe she’ll have to make me one or two

Day 17:  New nails for the Christmas season

IMG_0602.jpg

Day 18: Besides getting my nails done, I also got my first ever pedicure

IMG_0604.jpg

Day 19: Nala likes to help herself to my food. Today it was my breadsticks from Rocky Roccoco

IMG_0608.jpg

Day 20: It was a cold day. Perfect for a hot bowl of seafood chowder.
