Project 365, Days 181-190

Day 181: Hubby had a fund-raiser/auction for his work and we bought this chair and pillow. Since we live by the lake, it seems appropriate.

Day 182: Another purchase from yesterday’s fund raiser.

Day 183: Naughty puppy. I found her up here trying to get at a bowl that was left out

Day 184: Graduation Sunday at our church Every graduate got a quilt that was specially sewn by ladies in our church. The fabric of Janelle’s quilt includes patterns of music, violins, dance and travel

Day 185: Our last ever co-op class. We ended the year with a movie and pizza party

Day 186: You know what these bins mean? Camping season is almost here. It’s time to go through them all and make sure all the supplies are ready for this year,

Day 187: Trying to stay awake at work today while taking my online liquor license class. Almost 3 hours of staring at a computer screen,

Day 188: New nails for Memorial Day

Day 189: Our campsite at Green Lake

Day 190: We went to the Princeton Flea Market this morning. This guy was the highlight of the day. He would write a poem for you on any topic you chose. He typed it for you, while you waited, on his old-fashioned typewriter. You could pay him whatever you wanted.

Project 365, Days 161-170

Day 161: Nala loves to try to watch out the window. She’s not quite tall enough but that doesn’t stop her from trying. She also loves to bark at everything she hears out that window.

Day 162: We have a small issue with the fan in our Jeep. In order for it to work, we have to keep tension on a certain wire. This is the solution my hubby came up with. Can’t use the passenger seat, but the fan works.

Day 163: Homemade mac and cheese. I made 4 big pans of it. 1 for a local family, one for us and 2 to take camping with us. It heats up great over a fire.

Day 164: My cream cheese rangoon had no cream cheese, just a fried wonton

Day 165: We’ve had a bit of rain and the yard is starting to get a little soggy

Day 166: This is how I spent my night at work–pushing carts. Not my favorite job, but it has to get done.

Day 167: Another day, more pushing carts.

Day 168: It rained, a lot. Now our yard is flooded in several places. This is the backyard.

Day 169: After even more rain, the area between our house and garage is covered in several inches of water.

Day 170: Our front yard has enough water to keep a family of ducks happy. Hopefully the rain will stop soon.

Project 365, Days 131-140

Day 131:  Easter nails

Day 132:  Nala really wants to help me eat my snack. How can I say no to those adorable eyes?

Day 133:  Is it wrong that I, as a grown woman, like Spaghettios?

Day 134: Not a true photo, but I couldn’t resist. Look at that temperature. It says 71. I wish it was 71. My phone is wishing for warmer weather just like I am. It’s actually only 40 degrees.

Day 135: Free Big Buddy from Kwik Trip today. Makes me happy

Day 136: Everything I need to fight this flu bug: tissues, medication and a puppy

Day 137: Snow in April

Day 138: Every once in a while the dogs play nice together. Just not very often

Day 139: One of the drawbacks to my job: working with money makes the hands dirty

Day 140: His girl is gone for the night, so Blizzard is sleeping on me. He doesn’t like it when I move

Project 365, Days 121-130

Day 121: It was a day beautiful enough to make me think that maybe spring is almost here. But, since this is Wisconsin, I won’t hold my breath.

Day 122: Not sure if it’s dance class or writing class. Janelle must think it’s dance class

Day 123: Nala is now 6 months old

Day 124: His girl isn’t home right now, so Blizzard will just wait outside her bedroom door until she returns.

Day 125: After a trip to the podiatrist and a 9 hour shift, my foot hurt too bad to walk anymore. So, I used an electric cart while shopping.

Day 126: Nala really needs a haircut

Day 127: The dogs think they are entitled to some of my food. Silly dogs

Day 128: Standing guard. Against what I am not entirely sure, but it’s something scary and it’s outside the window.

Day 129: This week it’s both Janelle and Jessy dancing during class

Day 130: She finally got her haircut and is looking fluffy and adorable again

Project 365, Days 111-120

Day 111: A sleepy puppy. Usually she just uses her bed for digging but every once in a while, she actually sleeps there.

Day 112: Blizzard needs a haircut. He’s starting to look a little shaggy

Day 113: Every time I mop the floor, Nala has to roll around on it. It’s like she’s trying to help dry it or something.

Day 114: I’ve been working on a couple of small projects around the house. One of them is to set up an office area for myself. Moved my desk downstairs and I’m ready to go.

Day 115: Another project is setting up the fish tank. I got it moved to it’s proper location and cleaned out. Now we have to decide exactly what we want in it.

Day 116: One of Nala’s favorite toys is my old cow slipper. She loves to attack it and bury her face in it.

Day 117: Can anyone explain to me why we, a store in Wisconsin, have gift cards with the Chicago Bulls on them but none with the Green Bay Packers?

Day 118 : Nala thinks she has a sweet tooth. Her goal is to get the bag of Easter candy.

Day 119: More Nala, this time digging in my basket of blankets.

Day 120: I didn’t take this photo, and it’s not recent, but it’s important to me. It’s our first family photo, taken in Novosibirsk, Siberia, shortly after we were able to leave the orphanage with our two boys. We were waiting for the government to process the documents that would allow us to leave the country and return home. It was 21 years ago today.

Project 365, Days 101-110

Day 101: I am actually eating healthy today at work. I, unfortunately, don’t do that often enough.

Day 102: My late night life–driving home from work at midnight, waiting for a train. SO much excitement.

Day 103: We have open water on the lake and that means geese. Lots and lots of geese. They’re all in the lake at the moment, but soon they will be all over the lawn.

Day 104: One of these days I am going to remember to put an ice scraper in my car so I don’t have to sit and wait for the defrost to clear my windshield.

Day 105: We went to pick up Greg for spring break. His one food request was ice cream from Kelley’s Creamery. An excellent choice.

Day 106: My fortune cookie has a sense of humor

Day 107: Nala spent a long time this morning dragging my coat off the chair and bringing it to me. Not sure what she is trying to tell me. Maybe she doesn’t want me home?

Day 108: More snow. Forecasters originally had a fairly large amount predicted but thankfully that isn’t happening. Just enough to remind us that it’s still winter in Wisconsin.

Day 109: Flocks of geese have now found our lawn.

Day 110: Time for new nails. I went really fancy and got a jewel put on today.

Project 365, Days 91-100

Day 91: Belly rub, please

Day 92: Roland had his annual Awards banquet for work. He got the “executive” award.

Day 93: The gang from Roland’s office

Day 94:  Watching a movie in literature class. We’re reading the Chronicles of Narnia and watch the movies after reading the books (both the older BBC versions and the newer releases)

Day 95: Nala likes to live dangerously. She runs up to Blizzard, grabs either his tail or his leg, barks and runs away. Then, she circles around and does it again.

Day 96: Still being goofy and trying to play with the “old man” who doesn’t like to play.

Day 97: One of Nalas new discoveries: her reflection. When she stands here, she can see her reflection in the window. When she sees her reflection, she barks.

Day 98: A trip to Chicago to visit Greg. We went to Millennium Park and saw the “Bean”

Day 99: It’s a rainy night but it’s better than more snow

Day 100: When I go away, even if it’s just for a little while, I usually come home to some kind of mess. Shredding toilet paper is a common passtime of Nala’s
