Project 365, Day 101-120

Day 101: Blizzard is looking a little shaggy. I think I need to give him a bit of a trim soon

Day 102: Eric is moving into a new apartment and, since he is out of town for work, asked if I could quick clean his old apartment. I’m not sure I can clean this mess quickly

Day 103: Sunset over the lake

Day 104: March !st, the month when spring begins. It’s not looking like spring tonight

Day 105: It’s looking way too wintry outside

Day 106: Janelle colored my hair again. She tried lightening the ends this time and did a great job

Day 107: Nala takes after me. She seems to like Mt Dew

Day 108: Nala loves to do this. She stands on her hind legs and waves her front paws in the air. There’s no logical pattern to when she does it so I haven’t figured out what it means

Day 109: This little guy is hanging out by the computer at work.

Day 110: She’s working on her tan

Day 111: She may be my dog, but she loves my husband, too

Day 112: I had to get away from Walmart on my lunch break today. Some days, I can’t deal with it any more

Day 113: She knows I have food and she knows she’s not supposed to jump up and get it

Day 114: We just finished Janelle’s application to cosmetology school

Day 115: It’s wet out, but I still had to go out and push carts. The joys of being a CSM

Day 116: New nails. I wanted green for St Patricks Day, but I don’t like bright green, so I chose this shade instead

Day 117: It’s raining and freezing and the town is starting to flood. Some areas are evacuated but we only have some standing water

Day 118: The random things we find at Walmart. Didn’t know we sold styrofoam heads

Day 119: Remembering the day we first met these two adorable boys, 22 years ago

Day 120: She never sleeps in a normal position

Project 365, Days 61-80

Day 61: Time to make yogurt

Day 62: This is what happens when I try to workout. Nala decides to “help”

Day 63: Nala is having a slight static electricity problem with her ears today

Day 64: It’s really cold today. Nala has found the perfect spot to keep warm

Day 65: Blizzard likes sleeping on my pillow. The problem is that he doesn’t like to give it up when I want to sleep

Day 66: It’s starting to snow. We’re supposed to get quite a bit of it this week.

Day 67: The dogs, especially Nala, love the snow. She doesn’t want to come in

Day 68: I’ve been eating healthy all month. But, sometimes pizza is a good choice.

Day 69: The temperatures aren’t getting above zero degrees. It’s so cold in the store that I need hand warmers just to do my job.

Day 70: It’s so cold that snow on the rug in front of our door (inside the house) isn’t melting. This snow is from over 12 hours ago

Day 71: We picked up Janelle’s car from the repairman. I think he forgot to fix something.

Day 72: Another week, another blizzard, with more cold predicted to follow it

Day 73: Yes, that is the actual temperature. Not wind chill.

Day 74: Today was one of those days where at least half the store called in because of weather. So. management bought donuts for those of us that showed up to work.

Day 75: New nails for Valentines Day

Day 76: Nala got a much needed haircut. Because of the cold, she now gets to wear this adorable sweatshirt to keep warm outside.

Day 77: Showing off her new haircut and her new collar. Plus, a little mess around her mouth from eating human food

Day 78: She knows she’s not allowed to eat off my plate, so this is what she is doing. How close can she get?

Day 79: Janelle is adulting. That means she is making her own doctor’s appointments. She’s not happy about it.

Day 80: Not really a photo, but I had to screenshot this Facebook post of my oldest. He’s officially in a relationship. This mama is thrilled.

Project 365, Days 361-365

Day 361: Today was my 4 year anniversary at Walmart. Nobody at the store said anything, but at least the computer knew.

Day 362: It’s been cold long enough now for the lake to start freezing

Day 363: Today was Eric’s 24th birthday. I don’t have a picture from today of him, so this one from this summer will have to do

Day 364: I found the perfect ugly sweater for my ex-farmer husband

Day 365: This is the way the service desk is supposed to look every night. The only thing missing is the person who is supposed to be working here. Not sure what happened to her, but at least the desk looks good.

That ends a whole year of photos. Stay tuned for another year.

Project 365, Days 351-360

Day 351: It’s been raining a lot lately. Our driveway is becoming a lake again.

Day 352: Still gloomy, gray and rainy for another day

Day 353: It’s really dark and gloomy today.

Day 354: Time for new nails again

Day 355: One of my co-workers bought lotion for all of us to use, since we’re getting into hand-sanitizer season and our hands are always dry. “Stress relief”. Maybe to relieve stress, we all just quit?

Day 356: Blizzard is back home with us for a while. I brought a treat home for him.

Day 357: The rain has turned into snow.

Day 358: Janelle gave me a hair cut and a new dye job. She chose the color. I suggested reddish brown. She chose red. I love it.

Day 359: Best friends

Day 360: Even old man Blizzard finds the energy to run and play with Nala. I think he missed his sister.

Project 365, Days 161-170

Day 161: Nala loves to try to watch out the window. She’s not quite tall enough but that doesn’t stop her from trying. She also loves to bark at everything she hears out that window.

Day 162: We have a small issue with the fan in our Jeep. In order for it to work, we have to keep tension on a certain wire. This is the solution my hubby came up with. Can’t use the passenger seat, but the fan works.

Day 163: Homemade mac and cheese. I made 4 big pans of it. 1 for a local family, one for us and 2 to take camping with us. It heats up great over a fire.

Day 164: My cream cheese rangoon had no cream cheese, just a fried wonton

Day 165: We’ve had a bit of rain and the yard is starting to get a little soggy

Day 166: This is how I spent my night at work–pushing carts. Not my favorite job, but it has to get done.

Day 167: Another day, more pushing carts.

Day 168: It rained, a lot. Now our yard is flooded in several places. This is the backyard.

Day 169: After even more rain, the area between our house and garage is covered in several inches of water.

Day 170: Our front yard has enough water to keep a family of ducks happy. Hopefully the rain will stop soon.

Project 365, Days 141-150

Day 141: This is what happens when Janelle spends the night at a lock in with her youth group. The dogs are happy to curl up with her

Day 142: We went bowling today, the first time in years for me. I had to take a picture of the score. I am actually in the lead. Of course, it didn’t last long. 2 frames later I was in 3rd place

Day 143: What is going on here, you ask? I have no idea. Jessy decided under the table was a good place to spend co-op class today

Day 144: I got myself a new toy–a yogurt maker. First batch is almost ready.

Day 145: Time for new nails again

Day 146: It was a very foggy morning today

Day 147: Very strange weather today. Thunder, rain, and this is hail on the ground. A blizzard is predicted in the next few days.

Day 148: The snow has started, coming after lots of rain and sleet and slush.

Day 149: The dogs are loving the 15 inches of snow, even if nobody else is

Day 150: First dress rehearsal for Janelle’s final dance recitals. She is in 7 dances and is teaching 3 classes so she has a very busy week.

Project 365, Days 131-140

Day 131:  Easter nails

Day 132:  Nala really wants to help me eat my snack. How can I say no to those adorable eyes?

Day 133:  Is it wrong that I, as a grown woman, like Spaghettios?

Day 134: Not a true photo, but I couldn’t resist. Look at that temperature. It says 71. I wish it was 71. My phone is wishing for warmer weather just like I am. It’s actually only 40 degrees.

Day 135: Free Big Buddy from Kwik Trip today. Makes me happy

Day 136: Everything I need to fight this flu bug: tissues, medication and a puppy

Day 137: Snow in April

Day 138: Every once in a while the dogs play nice together. Just not very often

Day 139: One of the drawbacks to my job: working with money makes the hands dirty

Day 140: His girl is gone for the night, so Blizzard is sleeping on me. He doesn’t like it when I move

Project 365, Days 105-110

March 2.jpg

Day 105, March 2, 2014: I ask you, does this look like March? This winter has been all about snow and freezing, below-0 weather. I am ready for spring.

March 3.jpg

Day 106: It’s March and the temperature is -17.

March 4.jpg

Day 107: Roland passed his realtor’s exam!! Yea!!

March 5.jpg

Day 108: I love sunsets and taking photos of sunsets.

March 6.jpg

Day 109: Kaiser and Blizzard are best friends. I had just given Kaiser a bone to chew on when Blizzard went out to join him. If it had been our other dog, Buddy, that tried to join Kaiser, Kaiser would have growled and barked and protected his bone. With Blizzard, he shared.

March 7.jpg

Day 110: My pal Blizzard 🙂

Project 365, Days 86-96

Feb 11.jpg

Day 86, February 11: Making a big pot of chili on a cold winter day

Feb 12.jpg

Day 87: Sending out college stuff for Greg.

Feb 13.jpg

Day 88: Eric’s car was hit by a snowplow while he was on his way to work this morning.

Feb 14.jpg

Day 89: Happy Valentine’s Day

Feb 15.jpg

Day 90: My little laundry helper

Feb 16.jpg

Day 91: I find it amusing that a warning is required to say that a can of real crab meat contains crab. It better contain crab. That’s why I bought it.

Feb 17.jpg

Day 92: More winter weather is on the way. It’s been a very “wintery” winter this year.

Feb 18.jpg

Day 93: When I woke up this morning, there were 6 Mt Dew cans in the living room. 5 were empty, 1 was not. Why are they left in the living room? Is it really so hard to put them in the recycling?

Feb 19.jpg

Day 94: Winter storm 2 days ago. Rain and warm today. Yes, that is grass showing through. Yea!!

Feb 20.jpg

Day 95: Blizzard and Greg kept each other company in the car while waiting for Janelle to finish dance class. Blizzard does not like being away from his girl.

Feb 21.jpg

Day 96: It’s been really windy since last night. So windy that it blew down our satellite dish. I guess we won’t be watching the Olympics closing ceremonies this weekend.

Project 365, Days 69-85

Jan 25.jpg

Day 69, January 25, 2014: Blizzard found Janelle’s old bean bag in the basement and has made himself comfortable in it.

Jan 26.jpg

Day 70: Sunset. This one is through the window, so there’s some distortion, but it was too cold to open the window or go outside

Jan 27.jpg

Day 71: Not much happening around here, so I’ve resorted to taking a picture of my new slipper. 🙂

Jan 28.jpg

Day 72: Eric’s car is having a hard time starting in all this cold weather. He’s getting to be a pro at using jumper cables.

Jan 29.jpg

Day 73: It’s Doctor Who time. It’s all Janelle’s fault that I’ve started watching this show.

Jan 30.jpg

Day 74: Yes, it’s snowing again.

Jan 31.jpg

Day 75: Maple glazed pork loin

Feb 1.jpg

Day 76: Eric started a new job and has to be at work some mornings at 5:30. He’s a bit tired at the end of the day.

Feb 2.jpg

Day 77: Oops. I hit the side of the garage with the side mirror.  In my defense, the skid loader was parked in the garage, as well, taking up a lot of space and I hit some ice on my way out of the garage and slid a bit.

Feb 3.jpg

Day 78: It’s not snowing much, but it is very windy and our road is rapidly drifting shut.

Feb 4.jpg

Day 79: Our microwave door no longer stays closed. We tape it when we’re not using it and have to hold it closed when using it.

Feb 5.jpg

Day 80: It seems like every morning lately, I wake up to find a mess in the living room. Dishes, mail, clothes, furniture moved.  I may have to banish everybody from the living room when I go to bed at night.

Feb 6.jpg

Day 81: Tilapia with mango salsa. Yum!

Feb 7.jpg

Day 82: Janelle loves to dance, and so we’ve started putting up a mirrored wall in the basement to help her. One section is up, with more to come in the near future.

Feb 8.jpg

Day 83:  Eric put his car in the ditch on his way home from work.

Feb 9.jpg

Day 84: Blizzard is a little beggar. He really wants Eric’s food.

Feb 10.jpg

Day 85: Enough already. It’s February. No more below zero weather, please!
