Project 365, Days 69-85

Jan 25.jpg

Day 69, January 25, 2014: Blizzard found Janelle’s old bean bag in the basement and has made himself comfortable in it.

Jan 26.jpg

Day 70: Sunset. This one is through the window, so there’s some distortion, but it was too cold to open the window or go outside

Jan 27.jpg

Day 71: Not much happening around here, so I’ve resorted to taking a picture of my new slipper. 🙂

Jan 28.jpg

Day 72: Eric’s car is having a hard time starting in all this cold weather. He’s getting to be a pro at using jumper cables.

Jan 29.jpg

Day 73: It’s Doctor Who time. It’s all Janelle’s fault that I’ve started watching this show.

Jan 30.jpg

Day 74: Yes, it’s snowing again.

Jan 31.jpg

Day 75: Maple glazed pork loin

Feb 1.jpg

Day 76: Eric started a new job and has to be at work some mornings at 5:30. He’s a bit tired at the end of the day.

Feb 2.jpg

Day 77: Oops. I hit the side of the garage with the side mirror.  In my defense, the skid loader was parked in the garage, as well, taking up a lot of space and I hit some ice on my way out of the garage and slid a bit.

Feb 3.jpg

Day 78: It’s not snowing much, but it is very windy and our road is rapidly drifting shut.

Feb 4.jpg

Day 79: Our microwave door no longer stays closed. We tape it when we’re not using it and have to hold it closed when using it.

Feb 5.jpg

Day 80: It seems like every morning lately, I wake up to find a mess in the living room. Dishes, mail, clothes, furniture moved.  I may have to banish everybody from the living room when I go to bed at night.

Feb 6.jpg

Day 81: Tilapia with mango salsa. Yum!

Feb 7.jpg

Day 82: Janelle loves to dance, and so we’ve started putting up a mirrored wall in the basement to help her. One section is up, with more to come in the near future.

Feb 8.jpg

Day 83:  Eric put his car in the ditch on his way home from work.

Feb 9.jpg

Day 84: Blizzard is a little beggar. He really wants Eric’s food.

Feb 10.jpg

Day 85: Enough already. It’s February. No more below zero weather, please!

Project 365, Days 63-68

Jan 19.jpg

Day 63, January 19, 2014: One of the joys of living on a farm in winter–mice sometimes find their way in the house. This is one of the precautionary traps I have set in the basement, just in case. Haven’t caught anything yet.

Jan 20.jpg

Day 64: The tool Greg needs to tune the piano arrived today, so Greg is happily learning how it works.

Jan 21.jpg

Day 65: This is the mess in my laundry room. All sorts of dirty barn clothes. I tripped over this lovely pile and ended up flat on my face.

Jan 22.jpg

Day 66: Blizzard got a haircut today. He’s all white and fluffy again. Janelle thought he needed something to help keep him warm since he has less fur than before, so she got him this pink sweatshirt.

Jan 23.jpg

Day 67: Why can’t dirty clothes end up in the hamper? Would it really be more difficult to drop them over a couple of inches?

Jan 24.jpg

Day 68: A cold, windy day. Our road is blowing shut. Hopefully a snowplow comes down the road soon, or we’ll be stranded.

Project 365, Days 51-62

Jan 7.jpg

Day 51, January 7: Blizzard got ahold of this ice cream bucket with a bit of leftover soup in it and carried it away to his favorite spot–under my bed.

Jan 8.jpg

Day 52:  I haven’t had a pic of Eric lately, so here’s one of him lounging around

Jan 9.jpg

Day 53: Yep. It’s still cold.

Jan 10.jpg

Day 54: The moon is rising

Jan 11.jpg

Day 55: Kaiser wants to come in. He always wants to come in.

Jan 12.jpg

Day 56: Blizzard is looking a little shaggy and dirty. I think it’s time for a haircut.

Jan 13.jpg

Day 57: Sunset

Jan 14.jpg

Day 58:  It’s not as cold, but now we’re having lots of snow.

Jan 15.jpg

Day 59: Still snowing

Jan 16.jpg

Day 60: I came home to find the piano opened up and Greg happily working on it. He’s trying to fix the broken keys and then he wants to tune it himself.

Jan 17.jpg

Day 61: Dinner tonight was seafood chowder. It was a hit with the family.

Jan 18.jpg

Day 62: What happens when I open a bag of candy that I intended to use in Spanish class? It all gets eaten long before Spanish class.

Project365, Days 41-50

Dec 28

Day 41, December 28: You have to watch Blizzard. He likes to steal your place. I think he believes he’s a person.

Dec 29

Day 42: The chalkboard wall in my daughter’s room gets lots of use. Lots of Doctor Who and Loki stuff on it right now.

Dec 30

Day 43: At this time of year, all the boots come in the house because it’s too cold in the garage. This tends to make a bit of a mess of the floor.

Dec 31

Day 44: A New Year’s Eve treat. Almond patties, also know as banket.

Jan 1

Day 45: Another Dutch treat for New Years–Oliebollen

Jan 2

Day 46: The youth group schedule says the topic for May 6 is “Die”. Maybe we want to miss that day 🙂

Jan 3

Day 47: Winter sunset

Jan 4

Day 48:  Getting ready for the Packer playoff game.

Jan 5

Day 49: Packer Party. Too bad they didn’t win. No more parties until September (at least not Packer Parties)

Jan 6

Day 50: The worst thing about this photo? The temp wasn’t even at it’s lowest yet. It went down a couple more degrees.

Project 365 Year 5, Days 1-9

It’s time to start another year, my fifth year of doing project 365.

Nov 18

Day 1, November 18, 2013: Janelle and the dancers from church are busy getting ready for the Christmas cantata. Practices are happening several times a week.

Nov 19

Day 2:  One of our tractors.

Nov 20

Day 3: Janelle has been waiting for over a year for the next Hunger Games movie, and now it’s almost here. We got her tickets. Only one more day to wait.

Nov 21

Day 4: Waiting in line for the doors to open for Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Nov 22

Day 5: We woke up to a layer of snow this morning. Winter in Wisconsin is here.

Nov 23

Day 6: We went out to Buffalo Wild Wings to celebrate both mine and Eric’s birthdays. The restaurant gave us both a huge piece of cake with ice cream as a birthday treat. Yum!

Nov 24

Day 7: Chef Greg busy at work

Nov 25

Day 8: Another dance practice

Nov 26

Day 9: A big pot of cheese soup. Most of it went in the freezer for Christmas, when my whole family will be here.

Project 365, Days 297-308

Day 297, Sept 13, 2013: Lesson for the day: Do not wear black when giving a white dog a hair cut.
Day 298: All this hair from one very small dog. The haircut was way overdue
Day 299:  Sunset (yes, I love sunsets)
Day 300: I am embarrassed to post this picture. My sons’ room. Time for Mom to get in there and get it looking halfway decent.
Day 301, Sept 17; 10 months done: Under all the clothes, etc, in the boys room is this–sunflower seeds, popcorn and who knows what else.
Day 302: What happens when all that crud is on the floor? Mice find it. We’ve seen a mouse. Here’s more proof of it’s existence. Now, if we could only catch the little guy.
Day 303: Another chance for Greg to show off his soccer skills.
Day 304: There’s a storm coming.
Day 305: Discarded CDs from the boys room.  They have way too much stuff in that room
Day 306: We moved Greg’s organ a bit so that it isn’t quite as much in the way.
Day 307: Practicing for the Worship Celebration
Day 308:  Yet another soccer game. The team is playing really good this year and winning most of their games.
