Weekly Wrap Up, May 20, 2012

I am a day late with this post. Yesterday was so busy I didn’t get a chance to update the blog. It was a busy week at our house. But, most weeks seem to be on the busy side.

The week started with Greg’s youth group coming out to play capture the flag and enjoy a bonfire on Sunday evening. We had 20+ youth here running and eating and having fun.

On Tuesday, two of Janelle’s rabbits had babies. We now have 6 more bunnies.

Friday was the last rugby practice of the season. Eric won an award for being the “Back of the Year”

Saturday was a day packed with activities. Janelle had a 4-H photography meeting. We went to a local flower garden and took lots of photos.

Once the meeting was done, Greg and Janelle had their first recital. Greg played piano and Janelle was on violin.
Saturday also had our first skit practice for VBS, but I don’t have a photo of that.
Finally, just today I finished most of my garden planting. There is one box left to be planted, but I’ll wait a bit for that one. It needs more soil because the dogs have enjoyed digging in it. I also have to put wood chips down between all the boxes. There is a large pile of wood chips near the garden, just waiting for me

Weekly Wrap-up, May 5, 2012

This week, I teamed up with Michelle from Mixing with Michelle to do 5 Weeks to a Clean and organized House. I first did this challenge a couple of years ago with christianhomekeeper.org and it’s definitely time to do it again. This week, we focused on the kitchen.

Eric played in his last 2 regular rugby games of the season. He had an excellent game on Monday.
As one sport season is ending, we started looking ahead to a new one–soccer. Although the season doesn’t start until August, we had the annual brat fry for the soccer team on Friday and Saturday
