Project 365, Days 181-190

Day 181: Hubby had a fund-raiser/auction for his work and we bought this chair and pillow. Since we live by the lake, it seems appropriate.

Day 182: Another purchase from yesterday’s fund raiser.

Day 183: Naughty puppy. I found her up here trying to get at a bowl that was left out

Day 184: Graduation Sunday at our church Every graduate got a quilt that was specially sewn by ladies in our church. The fabric of Janelle’s quilt includes patterns of music, violins, dance and travel

Day 185: Our last ever co-op class. We ended the year with a movie and pizza party

Day 186: You know what these bins mean? Camping season is almost here. It’s time to go through them all and make sure all the supplies are ready for this year,

Day 187: Trying to stay awake at work today while taking my online liquor license class. Almost 3 hours of staring at a computer screen,

Day 188: New nails for Memorial Day

Day 189: Our campsite at Green Lake

Day 190: We went to the Princeton Flea Market this morning. This guy was the highlight of the day. He would write a poem for you on any topic you chose. He typed it for you, while you waited, on his old-fashioned typewriter. You could pay him whatever you wanted.

Project 365, Days 161-170

Day 161: Nala loves to try to watch out the window. She’s not quite tall enough but that doesn’t stop her from trying. She also loves to bark at everything she hears out that window.

Day 162: We have a small issue with the fan in our Jeep. In order for it to work, we have to keep tension on a certain wire. This is the solution my hubby came up with. Can’t use the passenger seat, but the fan works.

Day 163: Homemade mac and cheese. I made 4 big pans of it. 1 for a local family, one for us and 2 to take camping with us. It heats up great over a fire.

Day 164: My cream cheese rangoon had no cream cheese, just a fried wonton

Day 165: We’ve had a bit of rain and the yard is starting to get a little soggy

Day 166: This is how I spent my night at work–pushing carts. Not my favorite job, but it has to get done.

Day 167: Another day, more pushing carts.

Day 168: It rained, a lot. Now our yard is flooded in several places. This is the backyard.

Day 169: After even more rain, the area between our house and garage is covered in several inches of water.

Day 170: Our front yard has enough water to keep a family of ducks happy. Hopefully the rain will stop soon.

Project 365, Days 111-120

Day 111: A sleepy puppy. Usually she just uses her bed for digging but every once in a while, she actually sleeps there.

Day 112: Blizzard needs a haircut. He’s starting to look a little shaggy

Day 113: Every time I mop the floor, Nala has to roll around on it. It’s like she’s trying to help dry it or something.

Day 114: I’ve been working on a couple of small projects around the house. One of them is to set up an office area for myself. Moved my desk downstairs and I’m ready to go.

Day 115: Another project is setting up the fish tank. I got it moved to it’s proper location and cleaned out. Now we have to decide exactly what we want in it.

Day 116: One of Nala’s favorite toys is my old cow slipper. She loves to attack it and bury her face in it.

Day 117: Can anyone explain to me why we, a store in Wisconsin, have gift cards with the Chicago Bulls on them but none with the Green Bay Packers?

Day 118 : Nala thinks she has a sweet tooth. Her goal is to get the bag of Easter candy.

Day 119: More Nala, this time digging in my basket of blankets.

Day 120: I didn’t take this photo, and it’s not recent, but it’s important to me. It’s our first family photo, taken in Novosibirsk, Siberia, shortly after we were able to leave the orphanage with our two boys. We were waiting for the government to process the documents that would allow us to leave the country and return home. It was 21 years ago today.

Project 365, Days 91-100

Day 91: Belly rub, please

Day 92: Roland had his annual Awards banquet for work. He got the “executive” award.

Day 93: The gang from Roland’s office

Day 94:  Watching a movie in literature class. We’re reading the Chronicles of Narnia and watch the movies after reading the books (both the older BBC versions and the newer releases)

Day 95: Nala likes to live dangerously. She runs up to Blizzard, grabs either his tail or his leg, barks and runs away. Then, she circles around and does it again.

Day 96: Still being goofy and trying to play with the “old man” who doesn’t like to play.

Day 97: One of Nalas new discoveries: her reflection. When she stands here, she can see her reflection in the window. When she sees her reflection, she barks.

Day 98: A trip to Chicago to visit Greg. We went to Millennium Park and saw the “Bean”

Day 99: It’s a rainy night but it’s better than more snow

Day 100: When I go away, even if it’s just for a little while, I usually come home to some kind of mess. Shredding toilet paper is a common passtime of Nala’s

Project 365, Days 81-90

Day 81: Nala loves Mint Oreo mixers from Culvers

Day 82: After eating the last little bit out of the bottom of the ice cream cup, she has slightly green-tinted fur. Bath time!

Day 83: Another night after work, another dead battery. Waiting for a ride, again.

Day 84: Stockmen at work couldn’t keep up so I get the “pleasure” of pushing carts in. Yea me.

Day 85: Finally a sunny day. Now, if the temperature would just go up a bit

Day 86: Early Valentine’s day dinner at Casa del Tequila

Day 87: There’s no telling what these girls will do in co-op class. Today, it was trying to imitate one of the 10 Commandments posters in the Sunday School room. They’re trying to look like a 5

Day 88: New nails again.

Day 89: Roses for Valentine’s Day

Day 90: Outside at work again. This time, shoveling and salting the slippery handicapped parking spots.

Project 365, Days 61-70

Days 61 & 62: I decided to try out using a bullet journal this year. These two pictures are two of the pages I am using.  I’m not overly artistic or creative, so I adapted layouts I found onine. Stay tuned for updates on this endeavor.

Day 63:  My lunch at work today. Look at all that nutrition–not!! I think I really need to start eating healtier.

Day 64: Nala got into the chili today and is now wearing a tomato mustache. She’s a quick little thing.

Day 65: Even Roland loves playing with Nala.

Day 66: It was warm today. So warm and rainy that our yard is flooded. This is only one of many puddles.

Day 67: New nails again. I love the cat’s eye polish

Day 68: We have some unique stuffed animals for Valentines Day at Walmart this year. Nothing says “I love you” like a stuffed camel.

Day 69: I may never wash this hand again. I shook hands with the great former Packer player George Koonce

Day 70: One more of the unique animals. I am in love with this sloth.

Project 365, Days 51-60

I am so far behind in posting these. How does time slip away so easily?

Day 51: That’s a normal face for my little Nala. She loves playing in her water dish and her face is always wet because of it.

Day 52: This is what the floor looks like every day because Nala loves to play in her water.

Day 53: She’s trying so hard to be patient and wait for whatever treat might be coming her way.

Day 54: Tried this candy bar today at work. Was not impressed. Give me chocolate any day

Day 55: Nala has the annoying habit of scratching at Janelle’s door whenever she feels like playing with somebody, even if it’s 2:00 am. Janelle came up with this solution tonight to prevent her sleep from getting interrupted. I think I will buy a baby/puppy gate for her.

Day 56: It is so cold here right now. With the doors in the front of the store constantly opening all day, it is cold in the store. I have resorted to putting hand warmers in my pockets to help keep warm.

Day 57: Sleepy puppy

Day 58: Dinner out today with Roland and Janelle.

Day 59: Sitting in the parking lot after work. Waiting for a ride because my battery is dead.

Day 60: She just had a bath and a haircut. She’s looking much smaller and fluffier.
